Moranda van Geest will be the Green candidate for the riding of Albert in next year’s election.  She was acclaimed by the local Green party members last Saturday at the Public Library of Riverview.

''From Salisbury and Riverview to Hillsborough and Alma, Moranda Van Geest would be an extraordinary representative for the people of Albert.  From farm to volunteer involvement, Moranda knows what hard work can achieve for families and communities.  She will serve her constituents with integrity, dedication and the positive attitude needed to get things done,” said David Coon, leader of the Green party and MLA for Fredericton South. 

Moranda van Geest had this to say about her nomination: '' We all need meaning in our lives, and we find meaning by working together for the common good. The effectiveness of our government starts right here in our communities and with our involvement as citizens. I believe, if we work together for a sustainable and resilient economy, Albert County will thrive."
